Welcome! The School Counseling Department is here to support every student’s academic success, social-emotional growth, and college/career readiness. We partner with families, teachers, and administrators to help students thrive in a safe, supportive learning environment.

How We Support Students

Academic Support

  • Goal setting and progress check-ins

  • Study skills, organization, and time management

  • Attendance support and academic interventions

  • Schedule support and transition planning (elementary → middle → high school)

Social-Emotional Support

  • Individual short-term counseling

  • Small group counseling (as needed)

  • Conflict resolution and peer support

  • Coping skills, stress management, and emotional regulation

  • Crisis support and referral to community resources when appropriate

College, Career, and Life Readiness

  • Career exploration and interest planning

  • Graduation planning and course selection (secondary)

  • College applications and financial aid guidance (FAFSA/TASFA support)

  • Scholarship resources and resume support

  • Military and workforce planning

School counselors respect student privacy. Information is kept confidential except when a student may be at risk of harm to self or others, or when required by law. Parents/guardians will be notified when safety concerns arise.
