LANEVILLE ISD

LANEVILLE ONE

PTO

The Laneville ISD PTO is a caring and supportive organization dedicated to the success and well-being of our students and staff. We work together with families, teachers, and the community to create a positive school environment, provide meaningful support, and strengthen connections that help every student thrive. Our PTO is built on care, concern, and commitment to the Laneville ISD family.

Why It’s Important to Join the PTO

Why We Need Parents, Grandparents, and Family Members Involved

Joining the Parent–Teacher Organization (PTO) is one of the most meaningful ways families can support students, teachers, and the entire school community. When families work together, schools become stronger, more connected, and better equipped to help every child succeed.

1. Children Succeed When Families Are Involved

Research consistently shows that students perform better academically and socially when their families are engaged in their education. PTO involvement demonstrates to children that their education matters and that school and home are working as a team. This sense of support boosts confidence, motivation, and school pride.

2. More Hands Create More Opportunities

PTO events, fundraisers, classroom support, and family activities cannot happen without volunteers. Parents, grandparents, and family members bring diverse skills, talents, and perspectives that help make programs successful. The more people involved, the more we can offer students—field trips, classroom resources, enrichment activities, and special events.

3. Stronger Support for Teachers and Staff

Teachers do their best work when they feel supported. PTO members help provide classroom supplies, staff appreciation events, and extra assistance that allows teachers to focus on what matters most—teaching and caring for students. Family involvement shows educators they are valued and appreciated.

4. A Stronger School Community

When families participate in the PTO, relationships grow beyond the classroom. Parents and caregivers connect with one another, communication improves, and a welcoming school culture is created. Grandparents and extended family members add wisdom, experience, and continuity that enrich the community even further.

5. Every Voice Matters

The PTO gives families a voice in school activities and priorities. By joining, family members can share ideas, raise concerns, and help shape events and programs that benefit all students. Diverse family involvement ensures decisions reflect the needs of the entire school community.

6. Flexible Ways to Get Involved

Joining the PTO doesn’t mean committing endless hours. There are many ways to help—volunteering at an event, helping from home, attending meetings, or simply supporting fundraisers. Every level of involvement makes a difference.

In Short

We need parents, grandparents, and family members to join the PTO because together we can do more. Your time, ideas, and support directly impact our children’s education, our teachers’ success, and the strength of our school community.
